Peer-to-Peer Sports Exchange · India
Trade sports the way markets trade prices. Back an outcome, lay it, and match bets with other users on cricket, IPL and more - at odds you choose, not odds a bookmaker hands you.
The Exchange Model
A quick, honest explanation of how trading sports on an exchange differs from a traditional bookmaker.
On Roar Exchange you do not bet against the house. You bet against other people. Every price on the platform exists because one user wants to back an outcome and another wants to lay it. When your price and someone else's price meet, the bet is matched. That is the whole idea, and it changes everything about how you place a bet.
A traditional bookmaker sets the odds, builds a margin into them, and takes the opposite side of your bet. The bookmaker profits from that margin over time. On an exchange, we do not set the odds and we do not take a position. Users set the odds between themselves. We match the two sides and charge a small commission on net winnings. Because there is no bookmaker margin baked into the price, the odds you see are often better than the fixed odds elsewhere.
This structure gives you two abilities a bookmaker never offers. First, you can lay - bet that something will not happen, which is the role the bookmaker normally plays. Second, you can trade a position while an event is live, closing out for a profit or cutting a loss before the final result is known. Cricket, with its long format and constant price movement, is well suited to exactly this kind of trading.
Backing is the bet most people know. You back a team, a player or a total to happen. If Mumbai are 1.90 to win and you back them with ₹1,000, a win returns ₹1,900 - your ₹1,000 stake plus ₹900 profit before commission. If they lose, you lose your ₹1,000 stake and nothing more.
Laying is the reverse. You bet that an outcome will not happen. If you lay Mumbai at 1.90 for ₹1,000, you win ₹1,000 (minus commission) if Mumbai lose or draw. If Mumbai win, you pay out the liability - ₹900 in this case. Laying puts you in the bookmaker's seat, and it is the tool that makes hedging and trading possible.
Cricket First
Cricket is the heart of the platform. Here are the markets our users trade most, with the kind of movement that rewards a sharp read of the game.
| Market | What You Trade | Typical Format | Back & Lay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Match Odds | Which team wins the match | T20, ODI, Test | Yes |
| Innings Runs | Over or under a run line for an innings | T20, ODI | Yes |
| Top Batsman | Highest scorer for a side | All formats | Yes |
| Session / Over Runs | Runs in a defined block of overs | Live only | Yes |
| Fall of Next Wicket | Runs before the next wicket falls | Live only | Yes |
| Tournament Winner | Outright IPL or series winner | Season long | Yes |
During the IPL, prices move on every ball. A dropped catch, a rain break or a big over can swing match odds in seconds - and that movement is where exchange traders find their edge.
Why Peer-to-Peer
Four concrete reasons users move from fixed-odds books to an exchange.
No bookmaker margin sits inside the odds. Prices come from real users competing to match your bet, so the value is usually sharper than a fixed book.
Back what you think will happen, or lay what you think will not. You are not limited to the side the bookmaker offers.
Close a position early to lock in profit or cut a loss. You do not have to wait for the final result to act.
You pay a small percentage on net winnings only. Losing bets cost nothing extra. The math is simple and visible.
How We Get Paid
Roar Exchange does not profit from your losses. We charge a small commission on the net amount you win in a market - nothing more. If you lose, there is no commission at all.
Say you finish a cricket market ₹2,000 up after your winning and losing bets are netted. At a 5 percent rate, your commission is ₹100, and you keep ₹1,900. Because commission applies to net winnings rather than every stake, an active trader who wins and loses across a session pays only on what is left over.
Compare that with a fixed bookmaker. There, the margin is hidden inside every price you take, on every bet, win or lose. On an exchange the cost is out in the open and only touches your profits. Use the Commission Tracker below to see exactly what a run of winning bets would cost you.
| Scenario | Net Result | Commission (5%) | You Keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winning market | +₹2,000 | ₹100 | ₹1,900 |
| Small win | +₹500 | ₹25 | ₹475 |
| Break-even | ₹0 | ₹0 | ₹0 |
| Losing market | -₹1,000 | ₹0 | -₹1,000 |
Funding Your Account
Add and withdraw funds in Indian Rupees with the payment apps you already use every day.
UPI, GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and BHIM deposits land in seconds so you can act on a live price before it moves.
Net Banking and IMPS support larger balances with the security of a direct bank-to-bank transfer.
Every balance, price and payout is in ₹. No currency conversion, no hidden foreign-exchange cost.
On Your Phone
Most of our users trade from a phone, so the platform is built for a small screen first. Match odds, the bet slip, back and lay buttons and your open positions all fit on a single mobile view, and price updates arrive without a reload.
There is no heavy app to install. Open the site in any mobile browser, log in, and your markets are ready. During a live IPL game you can place a lay, watch the price drift and close out - all from the palm of your hand between overs.
Fair and Secure
Because prices come from real users matching real money, the odds reflect genuine supply and demand rather than a number a bookmaker invented. Every matched bet is recorded with a clear timestamp and price.
We protect accounts with encrypted connections, verify user details before funding, and keep deposits separate from operating funds. Our support team is reachable on WhatsApp if anything about a market or a settlement is unclear.

Questions
Straight answers to what new exchange traders ask us most.
Roar Exchange is a peer-to-peer sports betting exchange for India. Instead of betting against a bookmaker, you match bets with other users, back or lay outcomes, and set your own odds on cricket, IPL, kabaddi and more.
A bookmaker sets fixed odds and takes the other side of every bet. On an exchange you trade against other users. You can back an outcome to win, or lay it to lose, and you decide the price you are willing to accept.
Backing means betting that an outcome will happen. Laying means betting that it will not happen, acting like the bookmaker. On Roar Exchange you can do both, which lets you trade a position before an event ends.
We charge a small commission only on your net winnings in a market, typically around 5 percent. Losing bets carry no commission. This model is usually cheaper than the margin built into fixed bookmaker odds.
We support UPI, GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Net Banking and IMPS in Indian Rupees, so you can fund your account with the method you already use.
